Supplemental Lighting?

Hi all,

I have a 55 gallon tall. It's about 2 feet from top to bottom. I also have a marine orbit Led light. I like the light and spent decent money on it. And believe it or not I've actually had some decent growth on sps corals placed high in the tank. However, I'd like to improve color on other corals, and be able to place some lower in my reef. I need something supplemental lighting.

I am on a budget. Obviously I already have a primary light. Is there anything you would recommend? I am open to additional LED strips, or to smaller lights that create "zones" in the tank of extra light.

T5s are excellent supplemental lights. There are several types of T5 retrofits, one of which could fit your budget.

+1 on T5's as supplement
retro kits are easy to find for $100 or less. you can even turn a home depot shop light into an aquarium unit.

I have the same light and added the Coralife T5 fixture. It looks fantastic now with both lights but I haven't had it long enough to see if the corals grow any faster.
