Survey: How long have your fish been in your tank?

Hi,

I am curious about how long our fishes have been in our tanks, so I made a survey that I hope you guys will reply to. Basically I just want you to list any fish you've ever had and for how long it was/has been in your tank. So please add both current and former fishes. The result will be affected by both each species average life span and its difficulty in captivity, so hopefully, at least if many reply, it should be possible to mine some interesting results from the data.

The fish are given by their latin names. If you have experience with more than one individual of each species each can be listed by doing the survey multiple times.

I've posted a link to your survey and explanation on the French forum I use, to try to raise the most answers possible.
I'll talk about it on my blog as well.

Your concern rings a big bell to me, as I always want to have answers about lifespan of our fish, and most of the time, there's no info available.

Yet, how will you deal with statistics about the currently living fish, as you don't know how long they'll live?
Wouldn't it have been more accurate to enter only our experiences with fish that are dead?
