suspended frags

I recently saw an example of a frag dangling from a fishing line. Im one for experimenting, so i tried it...i have a suspended acro of similar species to one right next to it mounted on a rock and holy moley they are growing completely differently!!

Anyone else on this boat? Ill try to post more pics as i take them.

You will get faster growth because it is not encrusting and growing from all angles. I read about this a few years ago in one of Anthonys books.

Its amazing what frags can do. I only recently (~4 months ago) gave SPS another shot. 1/4 to 1/2" growth on a 1" frag in 4-6 weeks is amazing. Little victories, but still, I've already fragged them a couple times and they are partly encrusted in less than a week.

Self-sustaining hobby...you're a long way off. Self-sustaining frag buying addiction, you're up to $30 a month!!! Good work self!
