SWC 160 Cone help fast

I have a SWC 160 cone skimmer. I purchased it used from a member on here about 2 years ago. I have been using the mesh impeller that it came with but now there is nearly nothing left. The mesh is gone and most of the impellers are as well. I'm trying to find a replacment needle wheel and have searched quite a few threads on here but am really confused. People have new needle wheels other say new pump then others say that pump wont fit. What works please help. I have so few impellers left it barely looks like the skimmer is running so I need this fix fast.

It works very well. I think the mesh impeller was a bad idea. Mine broke into many small pieces (probably grounded up inside the pump housing) then came out of the top of the pump. I was wondering what those small white pieces of plastic are in my sump.
If you don't replace, sooner or later the skimmer will stop working.

I think SWC has completely disappeared. I was contemplating buying a replacement impeller from their website once, but the shipping charge from canada costs more than the impeller.

This was exactly my problem. I have emailed many manufacturers and they told me to contact SWC. I was like I CAN'T!!!. Thank you very much got it ordered all ready.

I got mine in 2 days, but I am in California.

This is the mesh impeller I had before

I think because the mesh makes the spinning unbalanced, eventually mesh gets tangled up and the white plastic piece on mine broke into multiple small pieces.

I think with the new impeller, I expect the skimmer to essentially run forever. I almost made the mistake of selling this skimmer about 3-4 years ago. Good thing the buyer was undecided so I ended up not selling. The skimmer works very well and I like the large collection cup.

Hopping on w/ this one, not for the impellar but the pump.
I love my SWC 160 but the pump does make a slight hum and I'm just thinking about either having a backup or really if there is a quieter replacement you guys may know of.
Mine is in the body below.
Is that Atman ph 2500 what I should be looking at/for?

I think I have the stock impeller for this skimmer. I had one, give me your number and I'll shoot you a picture of it. Pay for shipping and it's yours free.

So I ordered it and installed it last night. I'm concerned that it's actually not sucking as much air as the broken impeller. It actually does seem to produce finner bubbles but something just seems off. I checked it for an air lock and it's not so I don't know what's up.

I believe that impeller is the original impeller that comes with original swc 160, I know mine did. The mesh impeller is just a mod made and sold by someone and is not the official impeller (can't remember the name, but that guy was banned here in RC for peddling the stuff) for swc 160 and other atman ph2500 based skimmers like bubble magus etc.
the mesh impeller idea seems good at the time, but in hindsight, is really a bad idea. you want anything spinning at high speed to be balanced.

if you really want mesh impeller, you can buy enkamat on ebay for $6.

fwiw, this is just an idea/suggestion, I personally would not do it. Like I said in my first post, the pinwheel impeller works just fine for me. Sorry it did not work exactly the way you want it. not sure if you were blaming me for it by quoting me.
