I got this skimmer from you this week and I have to say that it is a lot larger than I expected - although that is no problem.
I did find that the instructions - I mean picture - is kind of lame, but can still be followed. I put it all together and the fit seems really lousy.
To set it up for recirc with the supplied tube and unions, you really have to twist and tug on everything to get it to align, putting a lot of strain on the bulkheads on the sides of the cone. Then, the union that attaches to the input side of the pump does not even come close to fitting, I have to measure them to see exactly what the difference in size is - but it is really loose and there is no way it would ever seal.
I'm not sure if I'm just spoiled from the BK Mini that I have or if I'm just an idiot and doing something wrong. I regret not getting the Alpha now.
