Will different individuals from the same species sting each other, or will they coexist? I have purchased a red lobo and a green lobo brain coral. Do these need to be separated? Also, I have to fungia plates, again different colors. Will they fight?

Thanks.

I have a simmilar question as well, but with like say 2 frogspawn or 2 elegance corals, can they kill each other?

can anyone our questions??

Frogspawn and Hammer will coexist but Torch will reak havic with the other two.
I would guess that Fungia would be OK as if memory serves they are sometimes found in colonies.

Couldn't tell you about Elegance, or Lobos.

If they are clones from the same mother colony, the wont usually fight. Many times different strains of Euphyllia can coexist pretty well; fighting isnt real common. I would not trust a lobophyllia, favia, acan, etc next to another one of its own kind, or anyone else for that matter. Ive seen some nasty warfare with them.

Elegance.. not sure. As picky as they can be, I wouldnt risk them touching anything, including conspecifics.

On a side note, I do have Lobo's right up against Lobo's and Scoly's sitting almost on top of one another.
You just have to be careful and keep a close eye on them.

I've been observing my Lobos recently, and am wondering whether or not they have sweeper tentacles. I've seen the ones used for eating, but have yet to see any really long ones. Do they have them?

Yes. Well kinda, instead of sweepers what I have seen most of the time is a web like substance that they used to sting nearby corals.

I've got 3 different Frogspawns wedged in the same spot. They actually look like they are doing better this way. And,I have different Blastomussas coexisting too. Can't comment on the others.

Well, I came to check the tank this morning and noticed that one of my fungias had moved about an inch and a half from where he was before, and was touching my other fungia. I separated them, but the one now has what looks like a bit of damaged tissue where they touched, so I guess they aren't that safe together.
