I'm going with hair, sweepers usually have a stinger tip & are a bit thicker, but you can't really see the end of it from your picture, so I can't claim 100% proof.

Yup. It's actually migrated now and it's pretty definitely a hair. One of my own or my daughters I think. ::blush:: feeling a little embarrassed, but love the speedy answers I get on here. Thanks!

don't feel embarrassed that situation is first for me on here. :lolspin:

BTW I used to have an Alaskan Malamute they are constant shedding and I would do a double take in the tank sometimes.

I only knew evades I have a dog and four cats so had to make that ID on more than one occassion!

Seriously, I have long hair and it's a problem.
Twice a year I find a powerhead running backwards because one of mine is wrapped around the impeller shaft. I have no idea how they get in there. Now that I know what to do its nbd, but it was confusing the first time lol

The struggles are real

I have long hair too and find it in the tank constantly... argh.

Of course dog owners with long hair know the dogs suffer too sometimes. ;)
