So, I am crossing my fingers. When I went to Sharky's, I mentioned that I heard they were really hard to keep, and he said that THOSE in particular were not that difficult. I basically trusted him because of the overwhelming positive feedback people have been giving him here and because he special ordered stuff for me as a first time buyer.

It's like elegance corals and flowerpots. I know Anthony over at Sea schorr has kept his elegance and goni's for a very long time and they have a really low survival rate. I agree with Rod, there is so many more foods these days that we should not give up on these hard to keep corals. I will be the 1st to tell you all when it dies. I'm betting using Rod's food they will do well, but thats wishful thinking on my part. They are real nice though.

for how long have you had them? I had not even seen them in the aquarium trade until the last year. Are yours growing of just staying alive? how do you care for them? If you are having success why not share the wealth?

I lost 2 colonies of them from Dr. Mac's. After doing some research I also found that they were difficult, if not impossible to keep. Good luck!
If it lives, maybe you can sell me a frag!

They are not that difficult to keep (IMO) if properly acclimated. I've keep a 3" piece in my nano for over a year feeding it powder Phyto 3x a week. It definitely is photosynthetic so give it some good light. Mine turned completely blue - polyps and skin after about 3 months. I would post a pic, but the person I sold it to didnt have the same luck as I did.
