Sweetest B-Day Present EVER

So I've wanted a 120 for around 3 or 4 years now, with Bob unfortunately moving one became available. After a bit of wheeling and dealing and Bob giving me one of the sweetest deals on a tank I've ever had my wife decided to let me buy it. So for my B-day present this year I finally got my 120 full of bobs top grade live rock and some sweet coral encrustings. I just want to thank Bob again for everything, if it wasn't for his tank and corals I wouldn't know what an sps looked like or how to take care of them and for the super good deal on the tank and rock. Thanks to Joe and Butch for helping move it......which went very well.....9 hours to take the 7 and a half hours to take the 120 down move it an hour, set it up, take my current tank down, aquascape and have everything hooked back up......not bad. Thanks to Brad and JJ for leaving me some sweet encrusted patches on the rock....with Bobs magic tank we figure they'll be colonies in 3 to 4 weeks. I'll try to post some pics of it later with the new 400's running.

I built a stand and a canopy for it, it's in an unfinished basement so it didn't have to be anything special.

everytime i look in my corner at my 120 tall discus tank i start to envision it full of SPS colonies and a couple bannerfish.... /drool

Congrats Jason! We all knew it would be a matter of time before you got a bigger tank but not this soon.

I do have one question for you though. Does this mean you'll stop killing the suset monti now that you have Bob's tank? You don't have to answer it now, I'm sure you'll have some choice words for me the next time I'm in the GIRS chat! :D

Yeah I didn't think I'd be upgrading for a long time but.....the wife okayed it so I had to.

As for the sunset.....yup

I suppose i should chime in here. As far as the tank and jason go, GOOD DEAL bud and happy belated bday i cant believe i forgot. We had one minor hitch while removing the rock and there was talk of pee in the pants. I wont go into details there. I would also like to say that "Bob you sir have my sympathy" that was one of the coolest tankx ive ever seen 4-5 years ago. It got better form there. I cant imagine how you felt after we all left and you sat on your couch and looked at the faded blue/white wall where your tank used ot be.
All in all it was a long day and my back hurt like hell but in the end jason who has been one of my closest friends for quite some time now has a beautiful tank that ill have to come over and look at more often.

Sweet, another reason for me to move to Independence!!! Make sure those stubs growout, I will need some starters after I move!!!! Congrats on a great purchase.
