Swelling Coral ?? Why?

I have a coral that is swelling up and seems to be getting worse. I've attached two photos that show the swelling. Is this a problem, and if so, does anyone know what is causing this in only one area on the coral, and does anyone know what I should do? Any advice would be appreciated. Merry Christmas.

It probably doesn't like being so close to those zoas on that side. Move it away from them & see what happens.

In a 1 on 1 battle, that favia would destroy any zoa with its sweeper tentacles. I doubt it is stressed from those zoos. It just looks overinflated, which certain corals tend to do sometimes. Doesn't look necessarily bad in any way. Try feeding it brine and/or mysis shrimp a few times a week and see if it makes a difference. I wouldn't worry until you start to see tissue recession on the coral.

Is it best to feed this coral at night?

I feed mine during the day. When I start feeding it puts out feeder tentacles.

Do you use some method of containing the food over the coral. When I feed mine the food tends to float away or other fish eat the food.

No, once it puts out feeder tentacles, they grab the food. I use a turkey baster to touch food to the coral and it just grabs hold. I just have to make sure the mini brittle stars or the strombus snails don't steal it. I turn off my powerheads, so food doesn't blow all over. I have too many bottom feeders to have food flying around mid-water.

not a big deal at all. no worries. My brain favites have a spot that does that daily for the past year..

nope. I run biopellets and zeo products. sometimes my tentacles get 10" long. my bubble gets about 1" diameter on some days! other days their is nothing. it's fine.
