i remember someone in this club building these and was wondering how well they are holding up? also can you buy all the parts around omaha to build your own or does anyone have one for sale?

I have made one in the past. I don't use it anymore, because it was kind of noisy. I had planned to reengineer the swivel device so it wouldn't make as much noise, but I decided to scrap the entire thing instead. Anyways, it still works great despite the noise.

is it really that loud to hear it over most things? also is the motor making the noise, or the swivel device?

it's not that loud. It just rattles at the end of eat rotation. The PVC pieces started rattling after I ran it for a while. I need to reengineer the swivel device in order to stop the pvc fittings from making noise. I tried a rubber washer and that didn't seem to help. A ball bearing washer would probably do the trick.

The motor doesn't make any noise really.

cool cause i was looking to build 1 or 2 so i could get better flow around my tank. that is if i can find parts locally.
