Switch From T5 to MH .....HELP

hello, i recently made a switch on my cube. its a 26x26x16 tall. i used to have 1 t5 fixture. dual bulbs one 10k one atinic and a led panorama light which had 1w x12 leds on it.

i switched to a 250w mh pendant. I was wondering if my corals will suffer from too much light. its been 4 days and its suspended about 7-9 inces above the water line. Untill now, i had 3 layers of window screen under the light to help the corals, and i just removed 1.

what im trying to ask.... is this really neccesary. the screens that is? how long do i have to keep them on?
my corals seem fine, they've opened up just fine and it looks like some have opend up even more.

any help will be nice. i wanna know if im doing it right.

Honestly, how your corals react is the best indicator. If they're handling it well, then you can probably move the process along more quickly.

The trouble is, if you remove the screen too quickly, you may burn some of the corals. It's a good idea to move slowly. In 3 or 4 days remove another one, then 3 or 4 days the last one. Better safe than sorry.

Light acclimation is a relatively slow process. Should be done in a course of weeks and in conjunction with close observation of your corals.

im most likely going to do that... i just cant wait to get rid of the screens so everything looks clean.

I'd like to see some pics of tank b4 MH and after if possible

i will post some later today. i dont find the light to be brighter. Because of the height it does spread all over the tank, but doesnt look much brighter.

the t5and the panorama made the tank look brighter. so i might just keep the LED on as well. but yes i will post some pics tonight.
