switch to pellets

I am trying to get my perculas, currently sitting in the QT to eat some pellets. I haven't had much luck yet and their time in QT is almost up. They'll bite the pellets and spit them back out.

Any ideas?

Are they small enough for them to eat in one bite? NLS makes a very small sinking pellet that all my fish seem to like.

New Life Spectrum, the small pellets. That is what I'm trying to feed them. They'll swallow the whole thing, then spit it out... I think I heard one of them whisper he wanted mysis instead.

Clowns are stubborn with food. Don't give up or give in. Keep feeding them the food. A clown will not starve itself to spite you.
It will put up a fight for a few days but they will give in eventually.
Could always mix it with the food they love to get the taste in their mouths.

introduce the pellets gradually. mix it in with mysis 50/50, then slowly reduce the mysis until you are only feeding pellets. compared to the mysis, the pellets are tougher to swallow. might need some getting used to.

I had good luck by soaking the pellets in tank water for five minutes before feeding. That softened the pellets.

Thanks for the advice. I soaked the pellets with mysis... they gobbled it all up.
