I have a haitian anenome that i dont really like in a 75 gallon tank with a younger pair of clowns. I am going to be upgrading my 75 to a 180 in about a month or less. I was wondering if i could change the anenomes on them with out much stress. Also the one i have not seems to move around alot. I know they move around if they dont like the spot they are at but i am wondering if there are some anenomes that dont move alot? And any suggestions on what anenome to switch to would be help full. I am looking for a colorful one that is not to expensive.
Thank you Dustin

Should be no prob.
Try to match clowns to natural hosting nem.
There are many choices.
BTA's have a rep for moving most, but all can move if not happy.
What kind of clowns?

Hello,
IMO BTA's are a great nem, what kind of lighting will you have on your new tank?
For the 75 to 180 switch, will you be starting the 180 from scratch water wise, or will you be reusing the 75 tanks water plus new?

Matt

Actually if you have a decent amt of established LR, I wouldn't say starting from scratch.
Most of the beneficial bacteria will be in sand and LR more than water column.
I'd just try to have a good amt of LR, use all the water you have now, and adding new water will be kinda like a big WC.
You may have somewhat of a mini cycle, maybe higher nitrates, but not like starting all over.
I switched from 90g -180g w/ really no issues except maybe a little cyano.

The clowns are false perculas I am adding the water from the 75 to the 180 then mixing the rest. It will have 2 400 watt metal hallides and possibly 1 250 watt metal halide.
