They don't like a lot of light. Depending on how intense your lighting is, that could be an issue.
Also... one day really isn't enough time to see if its receeding or not. Seems like it takes weeks for new corals to finally figure out what they're going to do in my tank. If it's truly receeding within days, more than likely it was damaged on the way to the fish store from the wholesaler or from where it was collected and not something specific with your tank.
