T-5 lighting and Powerhead placement?

I am in the process of setting up a glass 120 gallon tank (48" X 24" X 24") and looking help in selecting t5 lighting and powerheads. My tank is not drilled for a closed loop system.

I am thinking about a retrofit made by Sunlight Supply's TEK (6 or 8 bulbs).

I have one Koralia 3 in my current 55 gallon tank along with two smaller Maxi-Jets.

I have been reading a bit about the VorTech and the Tunze powerheads.

Eventually I would like to add a controller to handle lights and circulation along with monitoring pH Temp and what not.

Any advice is appreciated.

How much you have to spend is going to be the key factor. I like the Vortechs, but let's face it you can probably get all the rest of the pumps you need for less than a single Vortech. I would do some research and figure out what you plan to keep and then work from there.

i have vortec on my 120. makes alot of flow, but i really need one on other side to produce flow i really want. have a 3 & 4 hydor on other side now. but nowhere near the output as vortec.
aquatinics makes some great t5 fixtures as well with cooling fans unlike the teks. can`t afford another vortec now. couldnt really afford the first one, but they are great pumps
