t-5 lighting

how do yiu guys/gals feel about 6 t5 over a 46 gallon bowfront. There will be 3 10k and 3 03 actintic

Assuming you are using 36" bulbs, 4 would probably be plenty. 6 bulbs would be very intense.

that would be bright if you are using individual reflectors

Go with 4 bulbs as suggested above. More lights would be good for sps but too strong for discoma or LPS. Make sure you get good individual reflectors and a fan to keep them cool.

I agree that the 6 bulb fixture would be too much. However it would be a good investment for the future if you think you will ever upgrade your tank. Just don't run two of the bulbs.
