I am trying to figure out how to set up a T-5 set up on my new 125 gal tank, does any one here use T-5's on a 72" long tank and if so what is your set up like (pics please if you can)
I want to keep SPS

i considered it at one time. researching it, i saw that most used 36" end-to-end. saw a few that were 60" bulbs staggered

for sps, i'd say dual 36" bulbs to get the most light into the tank....& an added benefit is that you can mix & match bulbs even more so to get the look you want

like "hk45" I too have 60" T5 bulbs over my 72" Tank (They add supplemental lighting to my 2 250W MH bulbs)

Before my 'fiasco' I ran the 72" NEP, and had a second ebay fixture that was 8 4' t5HO bulbs...

the nova extreme pro will be more than you need for that tank IMO

In the process of setting it up my 180g. I will have 6-60" t5's on 2 Icecap 660's centered over the tank, also I will have 2 -72" VHO actinics on a ice cap 430.

With the t5's centered the low light critters can be at the edges of the tank, you are only 6" from the edge so the lighting fall-off will not matter as I tend to prefer to have the rockwork not go all the way to the edge so that I can keep the tank side walls clear of coraline.

Check out Aquactinics, they have a 72" light w/ 14 bulbs. You may suspend the light with a hanging kit or top mount it. They have a forum here at RC with photo's of this light. I have this light and like it a lot.

Check out the ATI Powermodule or a Sunpower, not sure of your tank's depth, maybe a 6-8 bulb. I have a Powermodule- 10 x 80 Watt on a 240g, no problem with light from it.
Good luck in your research.
