T5 bulb choices

As the title says, how do you choose which bulbs/colors to pick? For me they would be lighting an LPS/softy tank. I know some bulbs have their advantages but don't understand how to know which bulbs in combination with one another would preform the best for a certain goal. Thanks.

If you look on ATIs website they give some of the most popular combos and say what they do.

Its a very personal decision..
How "blue" do you like your tank...

There are a couple good videos on youtube showing the differences between each..

How many bulbs in your fixture?
I have a 6 bulb..
I'm currently running 3 x Blue + and 3 x Coral +... Its a bit too blue for my taste but not bad..
Previously I was running 2 x Actinic, 2 x Blue + and 2 x Aquablue special..
I found that to be very good at "realistic" color that wasn't overly blue..

Next time I think I'm going to try 3 x Blue + and 3 x Aquablue special..

Here are a couple of really informative videos on the T5 bulb differences for your reference...

Thanks guys. I’ll be sure to watch those videos this evening when i have some time. So basically it boils down to what we want to see but all the bulbs are the correct to stimulate good coral growth?

The Blue + and Coral + bulbs will give you the full range of lighting spectrum needed for cotal growth. The True Actinic and Purple + bulbs will allow you to supplement and adjust for aesthetics.
