I have a 72" long bowfront how many bulb fixture to keep softies and anemones assuming the bulbs are 80 watts?

how wide is the tank? Are you planning on overdriving the bulbs? If so 4-6 will be fine depending on depth of the tank. I would do at least 6 if normally driven

you'd want 6 bulbs for best coverage, keeping the anemones under the lamps directly.
you could also look at 60" fixtures, you would just have shaded spots 6" on each end, the tank should still look good and give you a place to put lower light prefering critters. Additionally using 60" bulbs has more options available; there are enough in 72" for the most part, but for instance, there are no UVL bulbs in 72" i believe.
