I have a 92 gallon corner. I want to purchase a t-5 8X39 for my tank. I want to order 6 daylight (10k i think) and 2 actinic. will this be sufficient for crabs and a few sps. I have fish and softies atm. please advise.

Out!

I assume you mean clams instead of crabs. That would be plenty, you could probably get away w/ 6 though. I would use a different combo for bulbs, subtitute some of the daylight w/ some ati blue + and mix in some 6500 bulbs too, but Grimm or Hahn can give you a better response

I agree with jaj1979. Probably too many lights for that tank.... and a better (blue mix) would be healthier for your tank and more pleasing to the eye.

My suggestion. Do 1 daylight, 3 Blue +, 2 True Actinics
or 2 daylights,2 Blue + 2 True Actinics

The blue plus is not a true actinic and gives a "daylight blue look" the 10K's are VERY white and the 6500s are almost yellow. With all 10K's your tank is going to look washed out. Thr true actinics are almost purple and "dim" looking to the eye as a portion of the effective light given off is not visible to the human eye.

You could post this q on the T5 Q&A area and probably get a quick response from Grim or Hahnmeister. They know bulb combos well and have tested a plethora of combos.
