I was using B ionic for Ca/Alk, but that became a chore so last week I made a DIY 5gallon Kalk dripper....2 birds one stone, now I don't have to add top off water everyday. I will be testing my water later to see where Ca/Alk and PH are holding with the Kalk.

I have more growth shots to put up later....I'm loving these T5 lights I have to say

good stuff. Hey I will take some of those yellow fringe zoos off your hand if they get too wild under those t5s I love the growth pictures, thanks for posting.

OHHHhhhh you wanna see some zoos. Beware I'm getting a pretty good collection going.....And I will have some frags of those and others very soon. I have those eagle eyes (yellow fringed) growing in about 5 different places...

Love it! Those t5s are a sps growing son of a gun. Yeah, Im interested in some eagle eyes or others when you get some. Did you have MH before the t5s? Just interested in the setup , wattage, heat exchange, you name it.

Here's a side view of my tank....It's a 55g long and it is a PITA to aquascape. I managed to keep most of the back fairly open for circulation and swimming room. Took a 12 pack of heineken, a 10 gallon container and a few hours to get the rocks where I like them.

I went from Piece of Crap ie. PC lighting to this lighting. I don't want to deal w/ the heat, electricity and expense of MH lights. Yes I do like the shimmer of MH lights, but after a lot of research T5 was the way for me.

Thanks for the comments.....you want any green star polyps. I'm about to break mine into a bunch of frags. LMK Anybody for that matter

sure I would like some. I hear that on the t5s, if you have good top water movement you get the shimmer affect.

Actually I've got a hydor deflector that busts the surface pretty well, it does give 'some' shimmer in the top half of the tank. I'll send you a PM in a minute, but I'm ready to take the chisel to these GSP today then.

reelfreak, nice pics. Looks like you have excellent SPS growth going on! I'm running MH, but have room in the center of the hood to add T5s. I'm sure I'll add some T5s in there eventually.

Thanks ScubaTC, I'm very happy with the T5s.....Thanks for the sand too!! That stuff is perfect... I beefed up my fuge substrate the other day with it, and like the way it looks. I didn't sift it anymore, just rinsed it really well....still had cloudy water for a little while but a couple of water changes have helped. Thank you very much!
