hi,

I am in the market for a t5 ho fixture and was looking at the reflexx made by guissemann. I don't know which is better. do I get the sunrise model with the dimming control and separate high gloss reflectors or do I get the standard reflexx with the 6 x t5 ho and I think It just has one reflector for all the bulbs.

the tank is 60x30x30 inches

or am I looking at getting into the ati power module's for my tank size

Gmann or ATI?

ATI, every time.

Gmann doesn't cool their bulbs. They will then feed you a line "our fixtures are designed so that you don't have to use fans". Yet, every test proves that Gmann fixtures lose a ton of PAR after being on for a couple hours. The bulbs get too hot and don't perform well. By not cooling the bulbs, you are looking at replacing them every 5-6 months instead of every 10-12.

The ATI will put out much more PAR and you won't be replacing bulbs nearly as often.

nice,

so do you think that the 4 x 80w power-module will be sweat over my tank or should I be bumping it up to the 6x80w and the 8x80w models.

what are the dimensions?

If you are 12" front to back, 4 bulbs.

18-22" front to back, 6 bulbs.

24-30", 8 bulbs.

Do the fans make much noise?

You can hear them, yes.

They were the loudest part of my tank but everything else on my tank was dead silent as well.

My overflow and sump made absolutely no noise. Therefore the fans had nothing to compete against.
