T5 lighting and SPS corals

I am getting ready to purchase an aquarium for my first reef tank. I have experiance with FOWLR tanks in the past. Originally, I had planned to get a 55g tank, but was talked into getting a 50g tank because it is deeper than the 55g. (18 vs. 12)

Anyway, now for my question. I eventually want to keep some SPS corals in the tank. I have decided to use T5 lighting and would like to know if I would have any problem in the future keeping high light SPS corals under these lights.

Thanks for your replies.

I have a 75g with a tek fixture. If you get a good fixture with individual reflectors you should be able to keep most anything. My frags are growing well and showing great color even on the bottom set of rocks.

Sure, I will try to get some this weekend. I am out of town this week so it will have to wait until then. Unfortunately I don't have any before pictures of when I purchased them to compare, but you can at least see what they look like currently.
