Lot of good info there. Cant really decide between T5 and halide. If you look at the article before the one given on the same site there is a great article about Lumen Brite reflectors and how great they run higher up off the tank, thus elimanating heat issues (and the need for T5's for some)

Agreed. I run the Luminbrights and 400w 20k's in them. They are great, and I do not have much of a heat issue... well none, but I have my sump in the basement which is naturally quite cool.

I think if (when) I start a new tank, if it was rectangular, I'd go with the all T5 route simply to vary the color combos up. IMO, color beats growth every day of the week...
