t5 lighting for a 210?

Take that green slimer for example, it already has branches off those branches and it is 12" or so down in the tank... The slimer frag is by that acan...

looks good, I think t5 will work fine then for my 210. Now if I wanted to go with the accustart ballast reefgeek sells, they are the ones in the tek retro kits. Can you run 2 80 watt bulbs off one ballast or is it going to be 1 bulb per ballast do you know?

I would just run the 60" 80W bulbs on IceCap ballasts and keep them centered on the tank. You can put the low light corals at the sides of the tank, and you still get good light coverage as it spreads out. With this arrangement you have fewer ballasts, fewer end caps, and you can use reefgeek 60" reflectors all add up to less initial dollars. and every year you spend alot less on lamp replacement. all you are giving up is placing any light loving corals on the bottom at the ends of the tank.

Do the cost comparison in may be worth it, thats what I am doing!

Is the dark spot on the sides really noticable or not really?
On my tank...no
If you are concerned or have doubts stagger the lamps

I run 6 x 5' T5s centered over a 6' 180G. The 6" on the ends is not noticeable.
