Thanks! I like the movement of the Torches. I have to be careful positioning them with the Tunze 6000 in there. They can get tossed around pretty good.
 
i miss my torch a bit. although i have a 4 headed hammer now (still not blue) it just isnt the same..

how big was that torch you have when you got it, and how mush has it grown since you first got it?

mine was doing fine for 3 months, then it crashed....
 
Nice pic SJM. I can never get actinic shots to come out but here it goes. These were taken under 2 Helios 105 actinic T5's. The blue is not nearly as strong as the pic shows. There is maybe a hint of violet in the color but it is a very clear blue. I think these blow away ATI actinics. They might be a little too bright but I just happen to have some 80 watt ballasts I can plug them into so they are underdriven a tad sowe'll see what that does. These are kinda cool. they have an external ballast you keep to reuse when the lamp fails. Just unplug it and slip in a new lamp/reflector, plug the ballast into it and your done. Not as good as "real" T5 but for the price and the fact they are 6 feet long they'll do for temporary lighting.

I am going to clean up the tank some tonight when I get home and will post some nice new pictures tomorrow. I need to get my monthly pic update out to my website. There has been a bit of fragging on the brown cap and the Anthelia's on the right side.

Here is a closeup of my Green Cap from 2 months ago, wait until you see it now.

It is amazing how big frogspawn polyps get under the T5's. Unfortunatly they grow a lot faster under halides, at least in my case.

yeah its def too hot to ship them at the moment, but when you want to, let me know, and i will gladly pay for the new styroboxes:)
