T5 lighting

I am asking for a friend. He have a swallow tank 9". His lighting is 2 T5 bulb 14 watt each. Is it enough to keep sps?

Never had those tubes. All depends on how much PAR is being produced. Can he/she measure the PAR? If 100 PAR is being produced, this will be enough to grow most SPS.

OK, he cant start off with stuff like Monti caps etc. Some Monti digitata. If these grow and hold colours, then try some acros next.

I grew Acros under T8 15 years ago. And had decent colour. I had shallow tank and 5 tubes.

Was meant to say he CAN start off with montis etc...
