T5 or led for color?

I have been thinking of adding 2 t5's to my leds for color pop. Is there leds that I could add to get that color pop instead of t5's?

It might help if you would tell us what leds you have now?

And are you looking for color pop in the lighting itself, or color pop in the corals?

If it's the corals, do you mean daylight 'normal' reflected color or bluelight fluorescence color?

If you have a good led fixture, even most Chinese' boxes, you should get all the color pop you could want. I think people add t5 to their leds for better coverage and to reduce shadows under ledges and coral plates.

Sort I forgot that part. I have 2 ai sol blues. I want more color pop in the corals. More of the blue light.

In my experience, LEDs add the colour pop where T5s are more of a 'flat' light for want of a better term.

There's a good video here showing the effects of adding LED lighting to T5 in the new Giesemann Aurora Hybrid, well, I think it's a good video because I have that fixture but it does show the colour differences.

The Light demo starts at about 5:18

LEDs for coral coloration. They are much better at making colors pop than T5s. Try to cover as much of the blue spectrum as possible 420nm-470nm.

Use the T5's for white lighting coverage. Since daylight T5s (White light=6500-12000K, Coral+, etc) use multiple phosphures they are more flexible and can hit multiple spectrums and provide a more even coverage of light.
