T5 sunlight supply vs T5 icecap?

i was wondering what is the difference between the two retrofit kits... ice cap or sunlight supply?

The Icecap reflectors are very nice. You can individually focus them but they must be installed in a canopy. The Icecap 660 drives mine hard but my corals seem to love it. I'd say lightbulb life is app. 8 months.

I would recommend the SS retro if I was supplementing halides and wanted just 2 strips...otherwise spring for the IC.

i have a SS retro and you can focus the reflectors where you want them. Mines for supplemental so its nice to have the 2 lamps seperated. im not too familiar with the IC so i cant give a comparison

Ive had both, the difference is the ICaps have much better ballast and reflectors. The designs are similar, you can angle the IC reflectors too. Just like the SS's. In my opinion, buy the IC's they are well worth the extra $$$. Basically, with the Sunlight supply retro kit you get a very good setup. But if you step up to the IC's you get the best.
