I have been looking around for T5s for the new tank. Don't they make them in 72 inches? If they do, I can't find them.

Thanks Eric.

I could always build a canopy and put 2 36" bulbs together in a line, right?

Do you guys have a good site that I could check out for building my own lighting system?

I would like to use 80W, 60" T5 HO bulbs and stagger them. I couldn't find anything on hellolights for that setup but I guess I could stagger 48".... Have any of you done this? I could still line up 2 36" bulbs and leave a space in the middle of 2 sets for a halide or two.

Kind of like this:

----------36 inch-------- ---------36inch--------
----------36 inch-------- ---------36inch--------
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp halide &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp halide
----------36 inch-------- ---------36inch--------

or

---------------------48inch----------------------
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp ---------------------48inch----------------------
---------------------48inch----------------------
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp ---------------------48inch----------------------
---------------------48inch----------------------
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp ---------------------48inch----------------------

The only thing about Hellolights Retro's is I can't tell if the Parabolic reflectors are actually (M) shaped. Its this shape that really lets T-5's out shime other light sources. I have a Sunlight Supply 4 bulb T-5 hood system and only runnign 2 bulbs I gt good light out put.
Ice-cap also makes a real good reflector for T-5.

Tom at Aquatinics makes a 72 inch fixture that has 7 rows of 2 36 inch bulbs. The ballasts and fans are built into the hodd and it has 3 switches.
