T5s ratio to Halides

Gosh, thankyou so much you guys. You are all so helpful. I have learned enough at this point to make a decision (which was the real reason for posting) and I think I am going to stick with going full spectrum either T5HO (8) _ 2 LED panels of blue/red grow lights or going with the 2, 250 watt MH and 4 T5HO.

Thanks guys.

Just in case you are leaning towards halides..here! :)

This tank is a guy in Switzerland, it is all T5's

At the time of the picture it is:
2x54 Watt ATI Aquablue special
2x54 Watt ATI Blue plus
3x80 Watt ATI Aquablue special
3x80 Watt ATI Blue plus

makes 696 Watt

211 gallon tank. Figure halides, probablly 3X250w and I would guess atleast 4X65w PCs for actinics would be average lighting for that size of a tank?

That would be 1010w

I have this bookmarked. I used it, actually, as the header for the website for RARE before I put Micaiah's up. :) I love this aquarium. It's the most beautiful thing I ever saw. Usually, I do not like hard coral. I like his, however.

It took me a long time to see the beauty in hard coral too. I think it is because we rarely see the fully grown out.

True. little frags, un-mounted, still on round discs is usually what I see and to me, it's completely non-thrilling, however...once it's mounted and growing it's breathtaking. :) I know I'm not supposed to like softies, but I do. They hurt a lot less when you scrape up against them.
