Are Ice cap bulbs worth getting if you dont have their ballast to power them?

I am not sure. I have not seen or read any thing on the IC bulbs. Always worth a shot. If I am correct, the IC bulbs should run on any ballast, the IC ballast just over powers the bulbs. I have read that this changes the color of the bulb a little, and shortens the life by about 6mos.

I havent heard anything good about ice cap bulbs as of yet. I would stick with ATI, Aquascience, Giesmann, and uvl for now.
