T6055 not working - corroded power connection

Roger,

I got two 6055 from hamms... He told me that he sent these to you last you for service. Well one of these units does not work. I tried to trouble shoot the problem by changing the power supply between the two units and discovered both power supplies would work on one pump but not this older one. So I took one of the plug boxes apart (the one that is connected to the pump, and accepts the serial cable feed and the power feed), and found the problem. The box was wet so I wiped it dry, the power connection to the wire had some crud on them so I scraped it off with a scissor, then I tried to clean them up as good as I could. I tested them again but nothing worked.

Today, I tried them again and they did not work. So I took pictures today. It seems that the unit dried up some more where the wires enter the conduit, and everywhere else including the serial connection. The pictures are magnified and make the corrosion look worse than I thought. Yesterday I bought a replacement for the power connection from Radio Shack along with a soldering kit. The connection appears to fit the male end too.

So Roger, how much will it cost to replace both the power connection and the serial (controller) connection on this unit? How can I get it to you. Also, the moonlight on the controller may not be working either. How much to fix that as well?

Thanks in advance.

If it is only the connection, it would be $25 to repair, 75% of the time this is all that is needed but 25% of the time a short created at this point will damage the motor.

The photocell replacement runs $32.

Just send them in and include a return address and phone number.
