Taam SEIO Prop Super Flow Pump

Are these newer ones more reliable than the previous models? I ask because the last SEIO pump I had let alone RIO made pumps would always jam/freeze on me for no reason. Thanks for any feedbacks you can provide..

I have been using a 320 gph one on my 90 for like 3 months now.

I have no issues with it, and IMHO, they look to be a better option especially with them being on sale now at DFS than the korallias, which I use as well.

I am building a 193g tank now, and I plan on using 2 1500 gph versions with other pumps to run my main flow on the new tank.

I see Taam says that the seio controller is only for the old style pumps, and not for these prop style ones, but I don't see why the seio contrller won't work on the new prop pumps. i have a friend that uses a seio controller on his MJ modded maxijets and it works great.

Glad to hear that!

I am surprised Taam''s website does not show the prop pumps are compatible with their controller.

I just bought a SEIO 1500P. It's been running for about a week and I noticed it making a lot of noise and vibration. I took it apart and one blade is MISSING off the impeller Does anyone know where replacement parts might be available?? I did google search but could only find parts for their vertical mount 1500, not the 1500P

It's better looking than a Koralia 1/2. It's my only choice before I get to a MP10. Which I like, but eh, $200 is a lot a of money.

I WILL be adding the 530 to my tank.

can you just return pump & get new one or did you buy used? everytime i look to buy replacement parts for pumps they were expensive. sometimes half the price of brand new pump when you add shipping to parts

That pump kinda reminds me of a 1990's security camera. All Seio needs to do is add a little red LED light on the front of it.
