i got a tail spot blenny in a 20 gallon reef tank, ive had im for about 2 months now and he hasnt eaten a single piece of food ive put in. im tried frozen brine shrimp, pellets, algae clips and nothing , i dont even know how he is alive. he must be eating from rocks. he seems healthy and i see him pooping so he is eating something. would he die off eventually once he eats everything off the rocks? or will he eventually eat what i offer? what you guys think ?

have you tried any live food? they will normally eat live food and then you can get them eating frozen from that

havent tried any live food, but he shows no interest in anything i put in , i doubt he'll even go after live food. i guess its worth the try though.

he is probably eating algae and copepods. I doubt that a 20 gallon tank will satisfy him for ever, you have to get him to eat. I think he will eat live brine or mysis, most fish do

Try ON Formula 2 flakes, that's what mine ate. I'm suprised he's not eating anything, mine was a pig & ate everything that went in the tank. If you have any GHA in the tank he could be nibbling on that too.

yea i have very lil GHA on the back glass and i do see him biting on that every once in a while. what are ON formula 2 flakes?
