Serenity is so expensive
I know what you are thinking... how the heck could this little fish be trouble...
I have two Tail Spot Blennys in my tank with SeaHorses. I read up on this and they were able to tollerate the colder water and it was reported that these were non-agressive.
I have had these guys for 6 months and they pretty much just hide in the rock work until recently. I was excited to see them actually swimming around the tank since last week. Well I had noticed that my ponies were not in their usual space clinging to plants and finger coral. They had been hanging out in the rear of the tank kinda hiding in the rock work. I just assumed that they were doing their hunting rounds, they occasionally just swim all over looking for leftovers.
I found out why they are in the back. They are actually hiding, the Tail Spot Blennys are nipping at them. The sea horses are not small they are fully grown about 2 years old. So I would say they are easilly 6-7 inches long and the blenny is about 1-2 inches long.
I witnessed this last night. they were nipping at the body of the ponies to the point where they would run and hide in the rear of the tank
Do you think this is just fishes goofing off or should I be consirned. I have other tanks that I could place the Blennys but catching these little guys would be a nightmare.
