Tail Spot Blennys?

Are tail spot blennys ok to keep? I read some RC threads from 2007 and someone was excited to get one because they were "hard to get in the hobby." I also read they only live for 3 years max and need veggies. I have had one in QT and just put in the DT. He was bobbing his head up and down for two days :spin1: and is now in the same corner pecking at the sand. He has been eating every night.

Anyone here have the fish and can share some tips? Is this one of those fish that do not do well in the home aquarium?

I heard they were short lived and was surprised, I had one for over 4 years and rehomed him when I combined my nanos into a lionfish reef. I'll be bummed if the he doesn't live long after in his new home. Mine was very active picking at the rocks and such, ate everything; mysis, prime reef, brine, cyclopleeze. Only complaint is he killed my open brain coral by endlessly picking on him.

They're great little guys and are compatible with YWG and with starry blenny

Great fish. Very active and interesting to watch. I supplement my feedings with SFbay's frozen Emerald Entree to keep my algae eaters happy, however my tailspot readily eats pellets, mysis and brine.

No signs of picking at any corals, but he does like to nap on top of my scoly.
