They are not god pictures but I wanted to show how much algae one tail spot blennie ate through in 1 day. I added him last night thought eh was going to die and he didn't. I found him cruising the top of the rock this morning, came home this afternoon and started noticing some little white spots all over my rock where is was white again.I located him on the edge of my rock there was a tiny little cave that he fits perfectly in. I noticed tonight on his mini front porch it is completely white and free of algae. I also noticed that he would hide in his cave and then come out with a mouthful of sand that he would then spit out over the ledge. I hope he is just scooping up sand that settled and not actually digging a hole in the rock. Does anyone know about these cool looking guys? It said reef safe. Anyone see this type pf behavior before?

Oh ya my tailspot is a big pig. He's constantly picking at the rocks and sand. My has several caves and holes he claims as his and will clean them out regularly. The sand was probably setlled in the hole for whatever reason and he is just tidying up his space.

Agreed, just the blenny being a busy little bee. When I brought mine home it immediately went to tearing hair algae off of the rocks and clearing out various hiding holes. Super busy little critters and a ball to watch.
