Tailspot Blenny

I have one with gobies, a mandarin, and a chromis in an lps/sps 52g. The ywg tries to bully him, but he stares right down the ywg's gullet and snakes out of the way at the last minute, then swims alongside as if nothing happened, leaving the ywg bewildered. That's pretty typical of him. Eats detritus as well as combing the rocks for algae, sleeps in my montipora foliosa. A laidback and personable fish that never bothers anybody.

Anything that falls into the tank. He's a comb-tooth blenny, so he has size limitations, but if he gets a sinking pellet, he'll play catch and toss with it as he gnaws bits off the edge. He eats: algae, detritus, Formula One Pellet, size medium preferred, as well as cyclopeeze, and has met frozen mysis but seems to like cyclopeeze better. This doesn't stop him from eating it. The only time he's ever touched a coral is to sleep in it, and once with a near totally rtn'd acro [a heat crisis while I was out of town], he cleaned off all the bad tissue and left the good. Rot seems to attract him, but to my knowledge he's not a carrion-eater.

Yep. About the same as mine. He'll eat frozen formula 2, crushed flake, algae wafers, cyclop-eeze, daphnia, Formula One reef pellets (very small) and algae off the rocks.

Mine's hilarius. I was going to get a barnacle blenny instead, but I'm glad I got him instead. He's not shy at all. I've even seen him get mad at a small hermit, and pich it up with his mouth and toss it off the rock.
