The sump is a little messed up, but I'm hoping to leave everything in order this week.

Are you planning on ZeoVit?

happy reefing ......and good luck

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

Reef Noob,

I'm not thinking about zeovit, in Brazil it is inviable to run zeovit because there aren't a lot of people who sell it and when they do it becomes very expensive.
I'm going to use biopellets and GFO to control nitrates, phosphates and silicates.

hiya Andre.....

Please do update...would love to see how your tank's been progressing....
On my side..i just started stocking corals in my tank...LPS to start with, and once my tank matures more il start adding SPS.

Hope to hear from ya soon :)

Very intersting build! Am I seeing things or is this setup outside exposed to the elements? Like a sun porch? I mean you have it laid out on a sliding glass door in your first post...Plus I see a flood of tropical sun in another picture you post. If it is outside, man im jealous! Here it is either hot as hell or cold as hell so the only option we have to get natural light is via a greenhouse.

One local guy setup a greenhouse for coral propagation and sells to the public on the weekends. It is built on his property and about the size of a large outbuilding or garage. Its a fantastic idea but our winters are extremely cloudy but he still has fantastic growth and coloration in his coral. I would love to do something similar since I live on 2 acres with plenty of room for one. I actually plan to do an addition to my home once the housing market gets a little more stable that will be a four season room with a vaulted ceiling using full length skylights and floor to ceiling windows where Ill likely build a large extremely shallow deep aquarium with modular lighting to suppliment in the winter months. My only concern would be humidity here in the midwest, we have no shortage of that without a few hundred gallons of tropical temperature water indoors...I am envious of your progressive design. Lots of out of the box thinking goin on in your build! Looking forward to more updates!
