Taking a break

After almost twenty years, I am going to take a break. I have been struggling with dinoflagelates for the last three months and have come to the conclusion that I need to totally restart my tank to get rid of them. I don't have the energy or desire to do that at this time.

My tank has been a source of constant trouble since I moved and got the large tank. I completely underestimated what it would take to care for a tank this size.

I am going to offer a first crack to cherry pick to you guys before I put it for sale to the general public. Please give me a call to set up a time to come take a look if you are interested. I have some really cherry pieces. I will be asking somewhere south of retail for these pieces. I am going to take a big hit with this whole misadventure. The tank, stand and canopy itself is also for sale if interested. I would ask around half of retail for that.

I am going to let the people who have seen it get a shot first and then I will post pics and offer to the general public. I am not trying to be a jerk, but I just like all the guys I know from the club so much that I want to give them first crack.

i know i would like to get the rose milli, maxima and tricolor for sure. im sure what does not sell i can get rid of with some of my customers. come up with some prices for me and i'll take them off your hands. i hate to see you tear down the tank. maybe you should have a last meeting, you might get rid of alot of it then. i know you think it looks bad but it loks better that most anyone elses for sure.

i know u just said that having such a big tank was hard for you, so im prob out of my league....but im actually buying a place very soon. and im not setting my 90 back up....well thats going in my boom boom room haha. but i was thinking of a huge tank as a fish only. could u just give me an estimated price?

1500.00 for the tank canopy and stand. $ 2700 brand new in June

man is everyone breaking down their tanks. i dont work in industrty for a few months and everyone wants to get out of hobby. whats the deal. so sorry to hear about tyour decesions about tank dave. if i hadnt bought my new tv i would take that thing off your hands. but to answer your question in another post. im doing good. had to adjust with life outside of pet industry so i think i might try my hand at construction. that is if rain will stop. well now i have hijacked your thread and im sorry talk to you guys later.
