Taking away a host coral

I'm downgrading tanks, from a 24g nano to a 12g nano.

I have an Onyx Clown that hosts a Torch 24/7 but there is no way I can have the torch in the 12g without it stinging and killing my other corals.

Would it be wrong to take the torch away from the clown?

Either I sell the torch off or I sell both the torch and the clown.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

taking the torch out wouldnt drastically affect the clown it will more than likely find something else.

i mean if you really dont want to seperate them then just sell the pair but you shouldnt have any issues.

If he is concerned with a torch that doesnt move around the tank stinging corals why get an anemone that will definately sting the other corals.

In my opinion, it is no problem to take away the Torch. Presumable he will find a new host.

The torch is the only non-sps coral in there.

Anenome is not a possability, it's going to be a smaller tank and I don't want to deal with one of those.

Maybe a small hammer frag would be a good substitute, the tentacles won't be as long.

why dont you get yourself a small bubble anemone ?

Bad idea even if you buy it small bubble anemones can get big and they need 30g or larger
