taking pics need Help with White balance or buy new camera

I am going to need a camera for taking pics of corals for a online coral sale site.


I have a canon d-20, but I don't know how to adjust the white balance. It's a great camera, but if I can't take good pics, well I'll need a new camera.


Is there a good camera for say $250 or less, with white balance adjustment and take good pics?

If you mean 20D, just shoot in RAW and adjust white balance during processing.

It is the 20D. I don't know a lot about cameras, how do you shoot in RAW?.

On adjusting the white balance, do you mean with photoshop or something?

The default is jpg, set it in camera to do RAW instead. Then use DPP (which should have come with the camera) to convert to jpg while adjusting the white balance manually as needed. If you don't have the manual or software, they should be available at canon.com.

Ok, I understand the RAW thing, but I went to canon.com and can't find a download for DPP

please post a link if you know where to go to download DPP
