taking the next step

Hi all,

I've had my FOWLR tank set up for about a year now and I wanted to get started with some corals and/or anenomes and so forth. I don't want to go to LFS and just get something that looks cool, I want to kind of ease into reef keeping. Any suggestions as to what would be good starters? As of right now, I have 2 oscellaris clowns, a coral beauty, and a goby (whose name is escaping me right now). Thanks for the help!!

Taking the next step is easy. Just go to the swap thats coming up Feb 10. You'll get all the advice and actual corals you'll need to start you off the right foot and it'll only cost you $30 to get in? Not sure what the details are but you better do it before Feb 10. I understand they won't be doing registration stuff at the swap.

Yea, I noticed that the date has passed. I'm not currently a BAR member, but I'll most likely join soon. Do I need to be a member to go to the swap? Is it too late to go to the swap anyway?

yes you have to be a member of a club.....you can come and watch or participate in the raffle, but without corals you can't participate in swaping with nothing to swap. : )

don't you need to have a decent lighting system to keep corals...not to mention adding live rock and other stuffs. If you have copper in your tank right now, then you have to restart water recycle...these are the basic that I have just learned a few months back :D

my 2 cents...

i'm running some PC's on my tank right now. I do have a few mushrooms on one of my pieces of LR; they've thrived and split a few times since starting my tank. I'm not sure about the copper tho...

last day to sign up for the club is Friday. Contact DSWONG01 for any questions. The mushrooms would be dead if you had copper in ther so you are probably ok.
