Tamarin Wrasses

General question here, but are all tamarin wrasses exceptionally difficult to keep? I tried a red-tail once, but wasn't successful. Are blue-spot similarly difficult?

I have a blue spot from DD and it has been great... didn't ship too well, looked really stressed but bounced back really fast and is now a great fish, eats well and hangs out with the other wrasses and it pretty peaceful

I believe it's not that they are hard to keep, but they don't ship well and stress very easily.
You need to have a well established tank with lots of liverock and pods for them to forage on as they are very active hunters. You must have a sand bed for them as they bury at night to sleep, and you need to be able to feed them often.
Buying from Divers Den is by far your best bet in getting a very healthy fish.

Good points. My tank is 6 mos established. Has a 2" X-mas wrasse in it which has been great. I was just looking at the blue spot on DD today so thought I'd ask. What's the one with blue spots and a yellow tail?

Yellow tail tamarin.

My yellowtail (have had since christmas) picks at the rocks all day, but will also eat anything frozen that I put in the tank, pellets and recently, flake. :)
