ORCA President 2007~2008
To All the Members of ORCA,
Greetings!
I would like to invite you all to a very exciting event planned for Saturday October 20th. ORCA has planned a fun filled one full day field trip visiting two popular West Coast Aquariums followed by an exciting evening dinner & party cruise aboard the Calypso Queen.
This is a one of a kind field trip like one you’ve never been on before. And the cost of this one day adventure will blow your mind. ORCA will be picking up the lion’s share of the cost. ORCA members will only pay $35.00. Non-Members will pay $75.00. WOW! Just think, not one but two awesome aquariums with back stage tours along with an evening dinner cruise with all transportation included for only $35.00 for club members… Amazing!
There is a 50 person limit so attendance is limited.
Look over the itinerary below to see trip details. Please know that there will be a fifty (50) person limit on this trip. The last time ORCA hosted a field trip was to ORA last year and the trip booked up immediately. So don’t wait, make sure to make your plans right away. There will be a sign up sheet at the September ORCA meeting and we’ll be taking cash or checks for payment as well. If you want to register earlier, reply back to me via email right away and I’ll see about registering you early. Email me at president@o-r-c-a.com
This will be an adult only field trip. No children please. :spin2:
The Field Trip and Dinner Cruise Itinerary is as follows:
7:30 AM Board a MEARS Bus for destination Tampa Bay Aquarium. The bus will be equipped with a restroom and video entertainment.
10:00 AM Arrive at the Tampa Bay Aquarium. Please visit their web site for details. ORCA has also arranged for back stage tours to occur during our visit. :fish1:
12:00 PM Lunch Break and Shopping at Channelside. Channelside is within walking distance from the Aquarium. There are great Restaurants and unique shopping there. It should be a fun break. Folks are on their own for lunch. Plan to meet back on the bus no later than 1:45 PM
2:00 PM Board the MEARS Bus for destination Clearwater Aquarium. The Clearwater Aquarium is roughly 60 minutes south of The Tampa Bay Aquarium.
3:00 PM Arrive at the Clearwater Aquarium. Please visit their web site for details regarding exhibits. ORCA has also arranged for A guided tour starting at 3:30 PM which includes a dolphin training encounter. :fish1:
6:00 PM Now, this is where we kick it up a notch… Within walking distance of the Clearwater Aquarium is the Clearwater Marina. There, we will board the Calypso Queen, courtesy of StarLite Cruises. The Calypso Queen is a three deck Dinner and Party ship. There will be a huge multiple entrée Buffet with complimentary ice tea and coffee. A DJ will be spinning your favorite music while we relax while cruising the intercoastal for a three hour tour... a three hour tour… <g>. There will also be a cash bar on board.
9:30 PM The Queen returns to port and we’ll board the MEARS bus for a trip home to Orlando.
11:00 PM Home <End>
I Hope to see you all there!
CHEERS!
