Tang Compatibility!

Those emotions are not the standard, only exceptions.

If I "feel up to the task", should I put a Black Tip Reef Shark in a 30L? Or is there some minimum recommended standard?

You'll likely dodge this,

:

This is America. We do things in gallons here

I say let's turn your Z-car into a rolling aquarium.

:bounce2::bounce1::bounce2::bounce1:

:bum:;)

And that would be quite awesome , just adding another spectacular thing to the already spectacular Z:)

I've gotten so excited with this thread I've special ordered a 10" blonde naso at my local lfs for my 10g Nuvo. I mean it's 1" per gallon and my lfs said they would quarantine five days for me!!

Nice dodge... again. A 30L is a 30g Long, not a 30 liter. Wanna answer the actual question for once? Didn't think so.

True. Great girl's car. Way too slow, though.:beachbum::artist::celeb1:

Sounds about right for you guys. Maybe save some coin and put it in a pint Mason jar. Unless that's too big for you.

Yes, that simplicity is totally missed by many. And "not recommended" doesn't mean "impossible" like it should be a personal challenge to prove overall standards wrong.
Someone has to challenge the standards so we can learn and progress in this hobby. Sad to say but most of the helpful forums on here start with help my fish died.

I just want everyone to know how disappointed I am in this thread and how it disintegrated into trolling and politics. This is the best reef forum in the world and I thank many of you sooo much for that - but - this is a little embarrassing.

P.S. I only have one tang (yellow) in a 75 gallon tank and he is happy as could be ... although can be an ******* sometimes. :)

That is way too small for a yellow tang you need at least a 6' tank. Just sayin. Once my blonde naso outgrows my 10g I'm upgrading to a 25g but only because I will need room for my PBT trio.

Hey hey let's make no assumptions. How do you know I don't already have the pint mason jar?!

For the record with the exception of a blue tang being in a 40b until it got to about 3" I have never been one to cram fish into a small tank. I don't see an issue with a 2" tang in a 4' tank but I don't believe in buying a sub adult/adult and putting it in even a 180. My lfs has one in a 180, and it seems too small for the busy fish.

how large is he, what else do you have in there?

Only in the States can a question about tangs turn into a discussion about apartment size for great Danes or how happy anorth Korean is with his house
Go Trump go

You are not the caliber to make such challenges. You are not providing progress for the hobby, just the opposite.

Someone will see your example and attempt to do exceptional things and fail miserably. It happens daily here and many other places.

Everybody has to be "the guy". Everybody has to turn the exceptions into standards.

It's pure ego.

lol my left turbo cost more than your whole reef setup [emoji23] and don't even get me started on the right one . A 30 long is obviously not big enough . You would need about 75 for that .

Quite the contrary. I'm sure you've epoxied the holes in a thimble to put a Great White Shark in it for a keychain.

Careful. Now you're sounding like a rational, reasonable, responsible aquarist who recognizes standards from exceptions.

She's a few inches long and her tank mates are a clown, yellow headed sleeper goby, and Bangai Cardinal (plus several frags). She runs the place though :) but the way she twists through all our swim-throughs is amazing. I love em and didn't think I would at first.

I'll attach a pic

Your left turbo cost $230,000? I kinda doubt it.:hammer::wildone::eek1:

Still an estrogen-mobile. :p:fun2::fun2:

Wow, there must be a standard in there somewhere. Hmmm....

Anyone one can make up numbers . My z will destroy anything you have and most anything on the streets you prolly got a Honda Civic [emoji23] get 700 hp then talk to me about a car . 75 is plenty

You don't know anything about me so your point is invalid.
