Tang ID

Saw this at a fish store listed as "Tang". Good job LFS. Anyone know what species? Its a silvery color with pink fins and tail, and yellow spots on his face.

I would say that your LFS was 100% right, it is a Tang. :dance:
Could it be a juvie Acanthurus xanthopterus or dussumieri?

I agree and was going to suggest the same. The picture is blurry and the fish looks pale, but the black spot above the tail is clear.


Of course, Rapide's ID is spot on. It is certainly a tang. :lolspin:

Would agree a Lavender tang...the eyespot is key but a better pic would help to be certain...

ps...in the pic it seems there is also the prerequisit spot under the base of the tail...
