im looking to get a tang for a 110. tank doesnt have any other fish in it yet.

dimensions are 48" x 18" 30" L x W x H

any suggestions besides a kole?

i my 120 i've got a powder blue , along with two clowns, two leopard wrasses, two mandarins and a yellow watchman goby...

they give me quite a range of colors... :)

I would suggest maybe a purple or yellow. I had a NASO,Powder Blue, and a Kole (not all at once) in my previous tank which was the same dimensions as yours and they all died because the tank was not wide enough,48". The purple and yellow survived. They died from stress according to others in RC. I now have a 150 60" wide and only added my Atlantic Blue, but not any other types of tangs. I learned my lesson the hard way. just my personal opinion.

You could have a pacific sailfin for awhile. It will probably outgrow the tank in a few year though.

The blue (assuming you mean blue hippo) and powder blue are going to need more than 48" of side to side swimming space once they grow a bit. Sailfin? Yikes..they get huge. Yellor or purple should be OK, or any of the bristle tooth tangs like Kole or Tomini, etc.

im most likely gunna go with the yellow or purple. or meaybe the blue spotted kole.

thanks for the replys.

I have a purple tang in my 110, I really couldn't see the fish needing more room. But I don't think I would have a tang of the genus acanthurus in there, just not enough room.

genus acanthurus, which tang is that?

oh, and what other fish do you have in your 110, if you dont mind me asking?
